1st – 8th June 2018 – GRIMALDI FORUM – MONACO GLOBE SERIES: IMOCA 60 – Now established as a one-design winter base through its organisation of the Monaco Sportsboat Winter Series, attracting some 100 international teams, the Yacht Club de Monaco, under the presidency of HSH Prince Albert II, continues to ramp up its sailing policy. Taking full advantage of a Clubhouse designed by Lord Foster and facilities ideally suited to regattas and hosting crews and their partners, the Monaco Yacht Club is organising the first Monaco Globe Series early June, the first stage of the new IMOCA (2018-2020) Championship. 2nd June 2018 at 8 pm – GRIMALDI FORUM – PRINCES ROOM – RUSSIAN GALA – Boris Eifman Ballet – Tchaikovsky – PRO and CONTRA – Today, Boris Eifman presents a new and original choreographic creation that corresponds to the modern artistic and technical possibilities of ballet: Tchaikovsky – PRO and CONTRA is the result of a long reflection of the choreographer on the personality and the creative world of the great Russian composer. For this new creation, the Boris Eifman Ballet Company in St. Petersburg received the special Golden Soffit Expert Committee Award. “For many years, I have discovered the musical world of Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and realized how profound and infinite the composer’s world was. I understood by immersing myself in his music, a multitude of themes related to his musical creation, his psychic identity, and relationships with his relatives. But, I did not feel this immense wealth earlier, and I wanted to dive deeper into the environment of Tchaikovsky’s creative torment, “he says. The choreographic narration of Boris Eifman Ballet’s new production PRO ET CONTRA, is in keeping with the composer’s music in a great and precise dramaturgical emotion.
3rd June 2018 – GRIMALDI FORUM – BS CONGRESS MONACO – The new business format of Beauté Sélection: Exclusive meetings, Business and Networking on the themes of hairdressing and aesthetics for business leaders. 5th June 2018 and June 8th, 2018 – WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY AND WORLD OCEANS DAY – Action focus for World Oceans Day 2018: Preventing plastic pollution and encouraging solutions for a healthy ocean. 15th -19th June 2018 – 58th MONTE CARLO TELEVISION FESTIVAL – The TV Fan Not to be Missed event! Under the honorary presidency of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the 58th Monte-Carlo Television Festival will open at the Grimaldi Forum on Friday June 15th, with an ultra-glamorous ceremony, featuring an exclusive preview screening of a TV program. Free entrance and Open to the public, it also offers audiences the chance to meet international stars, attend TV series “Behind the Scenes” conferences, public screenings and autograph signing sessions. 21st – 22nd June 2018 from 11 am to 11pm – KLASSIFIED MUSIC FESTIVAL & MORE Klassified Music Festival is an artistic and cultural outdoor project combining electronic music, art and well-being.” After a first successful edition in Monaco Grimaldi Forum, Klassified Music Festival is coming back in 2018, but this time it will take an outdoor format, in l’Oppidum of Col d’Eze. The 21st and 22nd of July 2018, in partnership with Eze’s cityhall, the ethnic and captivating Klassified Festival put forward a total change of scene to cultural escapes devotees. Electronic music, slow food, vegan creations, Mayan body-painting, Reiki workshops and meditation … Time stops over a weekend and leaves room for 48 hours of relaxation and festivities. A unique and innovative experience, Klassified will awaken all the senses of its visitors, through different musical influences, spiritual art, gustatory surprises and various forms of cultural practices. 22nd June 2018 – WORLD DAY TO COMBAT DESERTIFICATION AND DROUGHT – PRINCE ALBERT II FOUNDATION – Eleventh Award Ceremony of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and exclusive screening of Luc Hardy’s expedition movie, “Arktika Incognita”. 23rd-24th June, 2018 from 12 pm – PLACE DU PALAIS PRINCIER – THE GRIMALDI HOUSE OF MONACO HISTORIC SITES ASSOCIATION – 1st MEETING – Under the honorary presidency of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco – The Marquisat de Beaux, the Comtée de Carladès and the Ville de Menton will present cultural events, local food specialities, workshops and games for kids. The Son et Lumière Show will take place Saturday 23rd at 10 pm. in the Place of the Prince Palace. Nearly 100 sites are linked to the Grimaldi House. From the amazing inventory of monuments, sites, towns and villages sprouted the idea of the Grimaldi Historic Sites of Monaco Association. Admittedly, the Grimaldi did not lack historians, but to make discover their fiefs, and, through them, the antiquity and the depth of their links with France and Italy, had never been envisaged. This is the goal of the Association. A road, a network that will allow history and heritage enthusiasts to discover the 700-year-old story of a family whose members have left an indelible mark in these places.
