OUR EDITORIAL PROPOSAL AT THE FOREFRONT IN THE PANDEMIC

by Ilio Masprone – Publisher – Knight of the Principality of Monaco for cultural merit

MONACO. The spread of the Coronavirus pandemic has for many months now represented a collective disaster that everyone is trying to fight, with every possibility and means. In this moment of serious economic crisis, due to the health situation still suspended in the greatest uncertainty the fact of not giving up is considered by many an act of courage and of confidence towards the future. The return of the international paper magazine “Il Foglio Italiano in the world” aims to show hope, and a firm conviction in the print media sector fallen into the abyss of recession. In fact, it was obviously happened that the Covid19 has more than halved the advertising on which the sector was based.

In this difficult time, it is necessary to be resilient, and continue to be present for the Italians in the world who have been following us for over twenty years. It is a demonstration of sense of duty and good will, feelings that unite all Italians especially in the most dramatic hours. This is particularly dramatic, because we run the risk of being overwhelmed by the health nightmare and by the fear of not being able to overcome. In the past the Italian people emerged victorious from bloody wars and environmental disasters far more critical than this terrible pandemic. We therefore go on also re-planning the prestigious International Award Il Foglio d’Oro. Issued from Il Foglio Italiano paper magazine, the award was born in Monte Carlo, where it was held in the prestigious rooms of the Salle Empire of the Hotel de Paris for 14 years of memorable evenings and awarded many Italian personalities. The award will be resumed as soon as possible in a prestigious location, probably in London. The magazine will also whirl with its own wings through the website. Subscription will be opened for the website newsletter and for the paper magazine to be sent  also abroad. Happy reading and see you after the pandemic.
