MONACO. I am pleased to say that the health prevention policies implemented by the Prince’ Government is allowing a gradual recovery of economic and touristic activities of our loved Principality of Monaco. At last, the long-awaited moment to rediscover the pleasures in life is taking place.
Step by step and in close cooperation with professional and economic actors many sectors are reviving their activities, strictly compliance with the safety measures against the pandemic. Everything has been rethought and implemented to ensure that the most exclusive destination in Europe is also the safest!
Please read here the latest measures taken by the Prince’s Government: Curfew from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Exemption from the curfew mainly for professional, medical, family reasons, or to take pets out for a short time. The restaurants are open for lunch and dinner services, however there are certain conditions: for lunch and dinner, the establishment can only accommodate, upon presentation of proof: Monegasque people or people residing in Monaco and hotel guests in Monaco; people carrying out a professional activity in Monaco and members of their families living under the same roof; students and people educated in the Principality; Club and casino players subscribers. Reservation is compulsory in restaurants and tables of 6 maximum. Restaurant service can again be continuous between 3 pm and 7 p. Evening service will be provided between 7 pm and 11 pm. A traffic exemption for customers is planned until 11:15 p.m. maximum. They must bring a certificate which will be given to them by the restaurateur proving that they have been dined. Food-delivery activity is authorized between 6 am and 11 pm. Distance between restaurant tables of at least 1.5 meters. Authorization of a reasonable musical atmosphere (without dancing), limited to 74 db. Bars and cafes have their opening hours extended. On-site bar, snack, drink, breakfast, ice cream and tea or coffee shop activities are permitted from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. provided they are served at the table. Access is authorized for customers of Monegasque nationality or residing in Monaco and hotel customers in Monaco; people carrying out a professional activity in Monaco and members of their families living under the same roof; students and people educated in the Principality; Club and casino players subscribers; tables must be limited to 6 guests. There must be a space of 1.5 meters between the table. Like restaurants, theaters and the casino can again welcome the public until 11 pm. The public reception level for rooms and conferences is increased to 70% seat occupancy with a maximum limit of 1,000 people, an exemption being possible on presentation of a specific health protocol.
Wearing a mask is compulsory throughout the public space, as well as in all enclosed spaces open to the public and common areas of private spaces. The obligation to wear a mask does not apply to children under 5 years old and to people practicing outdoor sports. However, they must have a mask in their pocket if necessary. Strong recommendation to wear a mask in private space, especially in the presence of a person outside the home or a vulnerable person. Strong recommendation to limit cigarette, coffee or meal breaks to several people and to adopt a static position in such a situation. On the beaches, the obligation to wear a mask is lifted subject to strict compliance with a minimum distance of at least 1.5 meters between two people who do not belong to the same group. Groups cannot exceed six people. Resumption of indoor sport while respecting a strict health protocol: Wearing a mask by practitioners and teachers, presence of hydroalcoholic gel and implementation of a reservation system to regulate the number of athletes present. In sports clubs, recovery will take place by applying the protocols developed by officials and validated by the Department of Health Action. For contact or combat sports, only re-athletic training is possible. Full recovery will take place later. For water sports for which it is impossible to wear a mask in a humid environment, sailing is authorized as well as solo rowing. Private sports lessons with a coach are allowed under special conditions. Outdoor sport is allowed under special conditions: Maintaining a closed session for professional clubs. At school, outdoor sport with a strict protocol. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools can be opened by observing a sanitary protocol to be established with the Directorate of Sanitary Action for each infrastructure. Jacuzzis, hammams and saunas remain closed. Teleworking remains compulsory in the private and public sector until 13 June 2021 at least. Schools are open with the obligation to wear a mask maintained for those over 5 years old. Public services remain open. Shops open but respecting the curfew hours, and a one-person footfall for 4 m². Banks, construction sites and businesses continue to operate. Museum, exhibition halls … are open to the public but respecting the curfew hours. Hotels are opened. Worship establishments are open: one-person attendance gauge for 6 m². Funeral ceremonies authorized. Gatherings in public space limited to 10 people.
