Il 14 luglio 2025 si è riunito al Ministero di Stato il 17° Conseil Scientifique de la Statistique et des Études Économiques, presieduto dal Prof. Pierre Dubois. L’incontro, gestito dai suoi 11 membri tra società civile, amministrazione e istituzioni, è stato l’occasione per rinnovare l’impegno di Monaco a basare le sue politiche su analisi statistiche rigorose e aggiornate.

On July 14, 2025, the 17th Scientific Council for Statistics and Economic Studies met at the State Ministry under the chairmanship of Professor Pierre Dubois. The session, composed of 11 members from civil society, the administration, and institutions, reaffirmed Monaco’s commitment to evidence-based policy grounded in rigorous and up-to-date statistical analysis.

Alexandre Bubbio, direttore dell’IMSEE, ha illustrato i principali lavori: il nuovo indice dei prezzi immobiliari, che nel primo trimestre 2025 ha registrato un valore record di €2,64 miliardi, con 42 nuove vendite e 128 rivendite. Il PIL è salito del 12,3% su base annua, spinto in particolare dai settori scientifici e tecnici (+42,9%). L’occupazione nel settore privato è invece calata dell’1,3%, soprattutto nel lavoro temporaneo (−15,8%).

The GDP rose by 12.3% year-on-year, notably driven by growth in scientific and technical sectors (+42.9%). However, private sector employment decreased by 1.3%, especially in temporary contracts (−15.8%).

È stato inoltre presentato l’aggiornamento 2025 sullo scarto salariale di genere, che conferma un divario mediano del 5,9% a favore degli uomini nel settore privato. Lo studio utilizza la metodologia “all else equal”, già adottata anche da INSEE, che tiene conto di fattori come qualifica, anzianità e settore. Monaco si conferma così tra i Paesi europei più equi.

The 2025 update on the gender pay gap was also presented, confirming a median difference of 5.9% in favor of men in the private sector. The study uses the “all else equal” methodology, also adopted by INSEE, which adjusts for factors such as qualification, seniority, and sector. Monaco remains one of the most equitable countries in Europe in this respect.

Tra le priorità future individuate dal Consiglio: l’indagine sul turismo 2025, l’aggiornamento degli indicatori occupazionali trimestrali, la transizione alla nomenclatura NAF 2025 per le attività economiche, e il rafforzamento del monitoraggio delle disuguaglianze. Questi strumenti mirano a dotare il Principato di un sistema statistico predittivo e moderno.

Among the Council’s identified priorities: the 2025 tourism survey, the update of quarterly employment indicators, the transition to NAF 2025 economic classification, and the strengthening of inequality monitoring. These tools aim to equip the Principality with a forward-looking and modern statistical system.

Il Segretario Generale del Governo Marc Vassallo ha dichiarato che “solo grazie a indicatori solidi possiamo comprendere, accompagnare e anticipare le trasformazioni del Principato.” Al termine dei lavori, i membri sono stati accolti dalla Ministra di Stato ad interim Isabelle Berro-Amadeï per un pranzo di lavoro, a conferma del sostegno istituzionale al Consiglio.

Marc Vassallo, Secretary General of the Government, stated: “Only through reliable indicators can we understand, support, and anticipate the transformations of the Principality.” At the end of the session, the members were welcomed by Interim Minister of State Isabelle Berro-Amadeï for a working lunch, confirming the institutional support for the Council.
