Abbiamo letto con soddisfazione l’intervento-appello, sul sito di Riviera 24, del capogruppo della Lega, Daniele Ventimiglia (che ringraziamo) a proposito del concorso musicale SanremoCantaNapoli bocciato, per altro senza motivazione, da
parte di due terzi del CDA del Casino Municipale.
Una bocciatura che ha messo in crisi il futuro dell’evento socio-culturale che Sanremo, quale Città della Musica, non meritava di certo.
Una manifestazione importante che ha avuto, e che poteva ancora avere, nel contesto di un Casino alla ricerca di occasioni che porti nuova clientela.
Tra l’altro, sappiamo bene quanto i napoletani siano i migliori giocatori d’azzardo e che un investimento di 15,000 Euro per SanremoCantaNapoli (che dura da 4 anni) poteva rientrare benissimo in una sola serata.
Fatta questa premessa annunciamo invece che, a questo punto, è stato dato mandato al nostro Ufficio Legale, affinché trovi un’equa mediazione tra un “vecchio debito” della casa da gioco, nei confronti della nostra Associazione No-Profit, e l’attuale
incresciosa situazione che si è venuta a creare con due terzi del nuovo Cda.
Con questo ringraziamo Riviera 24 e il settimanale La Riviera, che seguono con interesse una vicenda che dura da due anni.
Di fatto l’ex Presidente del Casino, Giancarlo Ghinamo e l’attuale Pino di Meco, hanno preso, prima uno poi l’altro, una decisione, senza valutare le
conseguenze legali comprovate da ben cinque importanti testimonianze al di là, ovviamente, della bontà socio-culturale dell’iniziativa musicale.
Una situazione che si poteva evitare se solo fossimo stati interpellati dalla casa d gioco per una seria e franca discussione alla quale anche l’ amministrazione avrebbe
potuto e dovuto, senza esitazione, intervenire a sostegno dell’evento di tutto suo interesse.

We have read with satisfaction the appeal, published on the Riviera 24 website, by the Lega group leader, Daniele Ventimiglia (whom we thank) regarding the SanremoCantaNapoli music competition, rejected—without any explanation—by two-thirds of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Casino.
A rejection that has jeopardized the future of the socio-cultural event that Sanremo, as the City of Music, certainly did not deserve.
An important event that has had, and could still have had, a role within the Casino, which is in search of opportunities to attract new clientele.
Moreover, we know well how Neapolitans are among the best gamblers, and that an investment of 15,000 euros for SanremoCantaNapoli (which has been running for 4 years) could easily have been recovered in just one evening.
Having said this, we announce instead that, at this point, our Legal Office has been instructed to find a fair mediation between an “old debt” of the Casino towards our Non-Profit Association and the current unfortunate situation created by two-thirds of the new Board of Directors.
With this, we thank Riviera 24 and the weekly La Riviera, which have been following with interest a matter that has lasted for two years.
In fact, the former President of the Casino, Giancarlo Ghinamo, and the current one, Pino di Meco, each in turn made a decision without considering the legal consequences, which are supported by as many as five important testimonies, beyond, of course, the socio-cultural value of the musical initiative.
A situation that could have been avoided if only we had been consulted by the Casino for a serious and frank discussion, in which the administration, too, could and should have participated without hesitation, in support of an event entirely in its own interest.
