La discussione è aperta, non a Sanremo bensi nella città del Vesuvio, anzi a Roma. Dove stanno prendendo in considerazione l’ipotesi di trovare una soluzione per il concorso SanremoCantaNapoli, arrivato alla quinta edizione, ma il Casinò dei Fiori pare sia favorevole solo alla musica del Festival della Canzone Italiana?
Quella napoletana, infatti, non sarebbe più gradita ai 3/4 del Cda del Casino Municipale. A questo punto la capitale Roma, che si è resa conto della situazione, intende invece recuperare l’iniziativa musicale, creata cinque anni fa dal torinese Ilio Masprone, per proiettarla verso Napoli, più tardi nel resto d’Italia e di conseguenza all’estero con un programma già ben delineato. Il progetto nazionale è nelle mani di un manager famoso dello show busines che, nel predere contatti con la nuova politica della Regione Campania, ha già esposto programma e preventivi e le prime risposte farebbero ben sperare.
Tuttavia, oggi l’Italia musicale, pensa solo al 76° Festival di Carlo Conti per cui è possibile che ogni altro pensiero musicale possa essere rinviato a dopo febbraio. A Roma non escludono, in qualche modo, di essere comunque presenti a Sanremo durante la settimana del Festival per prendere nuovi contatti e approfondire il discorso piaciuto miracolosamente, anche in Viale Mazzini. In questi casi però è il caso dire che:“se sono rose fioriranno” ma questa volta i fiori potrebbero non essere proprio quelli della città di Sanremo?

The debate is open—not in Sanremo, but in the city of Vesuvius, or rather in Rome.
Here, the possibility of finding a solution for the SanremoCantaNapoli competition is being considered. Now in its fifth edition, the event appears to be facing resistance from the Casino dei Fiori, which seems to support only the music of the Italian Song Festival. Neapolitan music, in fact, would no longer be appreciated by three quarters of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Casino.
At this point, the capital city of Rome, having become aware of the situation, intends instead to revive the musical initiative created five years ago by Turin-born Ilio Masprone, with the aim of projecting it first toward Naples, later throughout Italy, and eventually abroad, following an already well-defined program.
The national project is currently in the hands of a well-known show business manager who, while establishing contacts with the new political leadership of the Campania Region, has already presented plans and budgets. The first responses appear encouraging.
However, today the Italian music scene is focused exclusively on the 76th Festival hosted by Carlo Conti, making it likely that any other musical initiatives may be postponed until after February. In Rome, however, they do not rule out being present in some way in Sanremo during Festival week, in order to establish new contacts and further develop a project that has miraculously found appreciation even in Viale Mazzini.
In cases like this, it is customary to say, “if they are roses, they will bloom”—but this time, the flowers may not belong to the city of Sanremo.
