At the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, Baglietto presented the FAST50 to the international yachting community, marking the world premiere of the first yacht in the shipyard’s new FAST line.

The 50-metre yacht was displayed at Quai Chicane, alongside Kinda II, the first unit of Baglietto’s T60 line. The two vessels represented two different interpretations of the shipyard’s contemporary identity, with the FAST50 returning to the performance-oriented character that has historically been associated with Baglietto.

Built entirely in aluminium and measuring 49.9 metres, the FAST50 has a gross tonnage of 499 GT. It is powered by four MTU 16V2000 M96 L engines and reaches a maximum speed of 30 knots, with a cruising speed of 24 knots.

The project was designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, responsible for the exterior and the interiors of the first hull in collaboration with Margherita Casprini. Naval architecture was developed by Pierluigi Ausonio.

The concept behind the FAST50 is particularly focused on combining performance with liveability. Rather than following the proportions traditionally associated with fast yachts, the vessel is developed across three full decks and introduces a wide-body configuration for the owner’s suite, increasing the interior volume while maintaining the yacht’s streamlined exterior profile.

The relationship between interior and exterior spaces is another defining element. Full-height opening windows on both the main and upper decks create continuity between the interior areas and the sea, while the repositioning of the ventilation ducts outside the hull structure allows the main salon to benefit from additional perceived volume. The dining area is located on the upper deck.

The design also incorporates several references to the automotive world. Baglietto developed the air intakes and aft fairleads with inspiration from sports-car details, while the hull is finished in a sophisticated “Porsche Chalk” tone produced through a Boero paint system.

Inside, teak is the dominant material, complemented by lacquered surfaces and burnt oak. The designers also paid particular attention to weight management, an essential consideration for a yacht designed around high performance. Titanium was selected for the exterior handrails, while natural stone and marble were used more selectively.

The FAST50 also places strong emphasis on its relationship with the water. The aft garage uses a flooding launch system and can accommodate a tender up to seven metres long, while a second garage is positioned forward. A low-draft semi-tunnel hull further contributes to the yacht’s performance in areas with shallower waters.

The result is a yacht that brings together two aspects of contemporary superyacht design that are often considered separately: speed and onboard comfort.

For Baglietto, the FAST50 is also a return to an important part of its heritage. The shipyard has described the project as a contemporary reinterpretation of the large aluminium fast boats that played a significant role in its history, translating that performance-oriented identity into a modern platform focused on comfort, architecture and customisation.

Its debut in Monaco therefore represented more than the presentation of a new 50-metre yacht. It introduced the first expression of an entire new line, bringing Baglietto’s historic association with speed into a contemporary superyacht landscape increasingly defined by the balance between performance, design and life on board.
