Monaco, September 2025 — The Principality is once again celebrating its maritime heritage with the 17th edition of Monaco Classic Week, held from 10 to 13 September at the Yacht Club de Monaco.
Along the YCM Marina, more than 150 boats are on display, transforming the port into an open-air museum. Classic sailing yachts, vintage motor-yachts, powerboats and a record fleet of 50 wooden Rivas bring to life an era where elegance and craftsmanship defined the art of sailing.
The Stars of the Fleet
This year’s line-up includes some of the most storied yachts in the world. Among them are Partridge (1885), celebrating its 140th anniversary, Mariette of 1915, now 110 years old, as well as Madcap (1874), Kismet (1898) and Viola (1908). On the motor side, iconic vessels such as Kalizma (1906) and Blue Bird (1938) are also present.
A Programme on Sea and Land
At sea, the regattas for classic sailing yachts and manoeuvrability contests for motor-yachts and powerboats are captivating participants and spectators alike. On shore, the Concours d’Élégance celebrates not only the beauty of the boats but also the elegance of their crews, while the Chefs Competition challenges yacht chefs to create refined dishes from surprise ingredients.
The cultural programme features two new exhibitions: “Action! Classic Yachts on Screen”, which explores the relationship between yachts and cinema, and “Rock & Royals” by photographer Kos Evans, showcasing maritime art in a contemporary light.
Meanwhile, the Village on Quai de l’Hirondelle gathers shipyards, craftsmen, painters and photographers, enriched by the presence of classic motorcycles from the 1930s-50s and vintage cars, extending the celebration of heritage beyond the water.
More Than Nostalgia
Monaco Classic Week is not only a spectacle but also a mission: to preserve the legacy of maritime craftsmanship and transmit it to future generations. At a time when superyachts and advanced technology dominate the horizon, this event reminds us of the origins of yachting — wood, sails, forged metal and human passion.

Monaco, settembre 2025 — Il Principato celebra ancora una volta la propria eredità marinaresca con la 17ª edizione della Monaco Classic Week, in programma dal 10 al 13 settembre allo Yacht Club de Monaco.
La Marina del YCM si è trasformata in un museo a cielo aperto con oltre 150 imbarcazioni: yacht a vela storici, motor-yacht d’epoca, motoscafi e un raduno record di 50 Riva in legno riportano in vita un’epoca in cui eleganza e artigianato erano l’essenza dello yachting.
Le protagoniste della flotta
Tra le imbarcazioni più attese figurano Partridge (1885), che festeggia i suoi 140 anni, Mariette of 1915, al suo 110º anniversario, oltre a Madcap (1874), Kismet (1898) e Viola (1908). Sul fronte a motore, spiccano gioielli come Kalizma(1906) e Blue Bird (1938).
Un programma tra mare e terra
In mare, le regate di yacht a vela classici e le prove di manovrabilità per motor-yacht e motoscafi offrono spettacolo e competizione. A terra, il Concours d’Élégance premia non solo le linee delle barche, ma anche l’eleganza degli equipaggi, mentre la sfida dei cuochi mette alla prova gli chef di bordo con ingredienti a sorpresa.
Il programma culturale propone due nuove esposizioni: “Action! Classic Yachts on Screen”, che racconta il legame tra cinema e mare, e “Rock & Royals” della fotografa Kos Evans, che porta l’arte contemporanea sulle vele.
Il Villaggio sul Quai de l’Hirondelle completa l’esperienza con cantieri, artigiani, pittori e fotografi, arricchiti dalla presenza di motociclette degli anni ’30-’50 e auto d’epoca, a sottolineare che il fascino della tradizione viaggia anche su strada.
Più che nostalgia
La Monaco Classic Week non è solo spettacolo, ma anche missione: preservare l’eredità della marineria e trasmetterla alle nuove generazioni. In un’epoca dominata da superyacht futuristici e tecnologia avanzata, l’evento ricorda le origini dello yachting — legno, vele, metalli forgiati a mano e passione umana.
