Today, November 12th, marks the birthday of Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco.
Born Grace Patricia Kelly in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1929, she came from a family of high-achieving athletes and prominent artistic figures. Yet, Grace was destined to forge a unique path: she became an Oscar-winning actress and, following her 1956 marriage to Prince Rainier III, Princess Consort of Monaco.
Had she lived, Princess Grace would have celebrated her 96th birthday, but she remains a beloved global icon with admirers spanning every corner of the world. To commemorate this special occasion, we asked people how Princess Grace continues to influence them today.
Renowned as a fashion icon—immortalized by the Hermès Kelly bag and, as recently as the August 2025 cover of Vanity Fair France, still inspiring designers—Princess Grace helped many discover their own style.
