Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum hosted the 36th edition of the SPORTEL Awards on October 20, 2025, celebrating excellence in sports, media, and storytelling. The prestigious evening, held under the high patronage of Prince Albert II, brought together athletes, filmmakers, media professionals, and sports personalities from around the world.
A Night of Recognition and Glamour
The ceremony was a glittering affair. Jacky Ickx, the legendary Belgian Formula 1 and endurance driver, received the Lifetime Sport Achievement Award, while French Olympic champion Marie-José Pérec was honored with the Autobiography Award for her book Ma Vie Olympique.
Adding a royal touch to the evening, Louis and Marie Ducruet attended alongside other distinguished guests. Henri Leconte, former French tennis star, served as president of the jury, joined by Allison Pineau, Masomah Ali Zada, and Lonsana Doumbouya, who evaluated the submissions across multiple categories, from documentaries to sports photography.
The ceremony also included screenings of award-winning sports documentaries, highlighting the creativity and narrative power of modern sports media. Marc Maury, renowned French sports journalist, hosted the evening, guiding attendees through the awards presentations and special tributes.
“The SPORTEL Awards are not just about trophies,” said Prince Albert II. “They celebrate the stories, the effort, and the inspiration behind sport.”
Over three days, the SPORTEL Awards offered public events, conferences, and meet-and-greets, fostering interaction between athletes, media creators, and fans. The event underscored Monaco’s role as a hub for sport, culture, and innovation, blending glamour with passion.

Il Grimaldi Forum di Monaco ha ospitato il 20 ottobre 2025 la 36ª edizione dei SPORTEL Awards, celebrando l’eccellenza nello sport, nei media sportivi e nella narrazione. La serata, sotto l’alto patrocinio di S.A.S. il Principe Alberto II, ha riunito atleti, registi, giornalisti e personalità sportive da tutto il mondo.
Una Serata di Premiazioni e Glamour
La cerimonia è stata un evento scintillante. Jacky Ickx, leggendario pilota belga di Formula 1 e gare di endurance, ha ricevuto il Lifetime Sport Achievement Award, mentre la campionessa olimpica francese Marie-José Pérec è stata premiata con l’Autobiography Award per il libro Ma Vie Olympique.
A impreziosire l’evento, erano presenti Louis e Marie Ducruet, mentre Henri Leconte, ex tennista francese, ha presieduto la giuria insieme a Allison Pineau, Masomah Ali Zada e Lonsana Doumbouya, valutando le candidature in varie categorie, dai documentari alla fotografia sportiva.
Durante la serata sono stati anche proiettati documentari sportivi premiati, sottolineando la forza narrativa dei media sportivi contemporanei. La conduzione è stata affidata al celebre giornalista sportivo francese Marc Maury, che ha accompagnato il pubblico attraverso premiazioni e tributi speciali.
