Where it all began
In 2010, the first JIB was born — the first Italian convention dedicated to Supernatural.
As founder Daniela Chiusa explains:
“The initial idea was to turn something that already existed online into a real-life experience. The Supernatural fandom was very active in Europe, but there was no structured space where people could truly meet, experience that connection, and share it directly.”
“What was missing […] was an event built with care, respect, and attention — both for fans and for guests — capable of putting people at the center, rather than treating them as numbers.”
What started as a challenge, almost a one-off experiment, has gradually evolved into an internationally recognized benchmark.

Our experience: the final concert
At MonteCarlo Times, we attended JIB16, including its most iconic closing moment: the Monday concert.
On stage: Richard Speight Jr., Rob Benedict, Mark Sheppard and Jason Manns, joined by Italian singer-songwriter Laura Tiberi.
It was more than a performance.
It was a moment of collective connection, where music and emotion merged into a shared, intense, and authentic experience.
Jason Manns: a long-standing presence
The return of Jason Manns at JIB16 carries a special meaning.
A musician, producer, and long-time presence within the Supernatural universe, he contributed to the show’s soundtrack and produced many musical projects involving the cast.
More importantly, he is part of that family that continues to reunite year after year.
Ricky Whittle: energy and authenticity
Among the most appreciated returns was also that of Ricky Whittle.
He joined the JIB world through JIBLAND and immediately integrated, winning over the audience with his energy and authenticity.

On May 23 and 24, JIB DREAM FANMEET 6.5 will take place — an event dedicated to actors from the most beloved Thai BL and GL series, featuring guests such as Mile & Apo, Son & Euro from the cast of SHINE, as well as Daou & Offroad and Emi & Bonnie.
This is not simply a festival bringing together multiple fan meets.
It is a project that brings to Italy — and into the heart of the JIB experience — one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing phenomena in the global entertainment landscape: Asian series, particularly the Thai scene, known for generating highly engaged, passionate, and deeply connected communities.
For fans, it will be a unique opportunity to experience the actors of SHINE and other series up close, in an environment that prioritizes real connection, authentic interaction, and shared experience.
For Jus In Bello, it represents the confirmation of a clear vision:

Dove tutto è iniziato
Nel 2010 nasce la prima JIB, la prima convention italiana dedicata a Supernatural.
Come racconta la founder Daniela Chiusa:
“L’intuizione iniziale è stata quella di trasformare qualcosa che esisteva già online in un’esperienza reale. Il fandom di Supernatural era molto attivo anche in Europa, ma mancava uno spazio strutturato in cui le persone potessero incontrarsi davvero, vivere quel legame e condividerlo in modo diretto.”
“Quello che mancava […] era un evento costruito con attenzione, rispetto e cura, sia per i fan che per gli ospiti, capace di mettere le persone al centro e non trattarle come numeri.”
Quella che inizialmente era una sfida, quasi un “one-off”, si è trasformata nel tempo in un punto di riferimento internazionale.
Non una convention. Un’emozione.
“La JIB non è una semplice convention, è un’emozione che ti rende parte di qualcosa, è un’esperienza che costruisce amicizie e legami duraturi nel tempo.”
Questa definizione racchiude perfettamente ciò che accade alla JIB.
Non esiste una vera separazione tra palco e pubblico.
Non esiste distanza emotiva.

Noi di MonteCarlo Times abbiamo assistito alla JIB16, inclusa la sua chiusura più iconica: il concerto del lunedì.

Non è stato solo uno spettacolo.

Musicista, produttore e presenza storica dell’universo Supernatural, ha contribuito alla colonna sonora della serie e alla produzione musicale di molti membri del cast.

Ricky Whittle: energia e autenticità
Tra i ritorni più apprezzati, anche quello di Ricky Whittle.
Entrato nel mondo JIB con JIBLAND, si è integrato immediatamente, conquistando il pubblico con la sua energia e autenticità.

Il 23 e 24 maggio arriva infatti JIB DREAM FANMEET 6.5, un evento dedicato agli attori delle serie thailandesi a tema BL e GL più amate, con ospiti del calibro di Mile&Apo e Son&Euro del cast della serie SHINE, per passare poi a Daou&Offroad e Emi&Bonnie.
Non si tratta semplicemente di un festival che raccoglie vari fanmeet.
È un progetto che porta in Italia — e nel cuore dell’esperienza JIB — uno dei fenomeni più interessanti e in crescita del panorama internazionale: quello delle serie asiatiche, e in particolare del mondo thai, capace di generare community estremamente attive, appassionate e profondamente coinvolte.
Per i fan sarà un’occasione unica: vivere da vicino gli attori di Shine e delle altre serie in un contesto che privilegia il contatto reale, lo scambio autentico, l’esperienza condivisa.
Per Jus In Bello, invece, è la conferma di una visione chiara:
non limitarsi a seguire il fandom, ma accompagnarlo nella sua evoluzione, creando spazi in cui le passioni possano trasformarsi in esperienze concrete.
