Cinema, red carpets, and young people. These are the keywords of the Social World Film Festival, which is currently lighting up the city of Vico Equense from July 5th to 12th.
Social cinema along the Sorrento Peninsula is showcased through the works of both national and international artists. In dedicated masterclasses, young aspiring actors and silver screen enthusiasts have the unique opportunity to interact with the stars hosted by the city throughout the festival.
Thanks to Giuseppe Alessio Nuzzo, director and founder of the Social World Film Festival, this 16th edition is hosting major faces from television, cinema, and entertainment. These guests deeply engage Gen Z or have reached younger audiences, introducing themselves to a new generation.
Among the guests, special mention must first go to the festival’s godmother, Mariana Rodriguez, who inaugurated this new edition. Other notable names include Enrico Tijani from the hit series Mare Fuori; Un Posto Al Sole actors Gina Amarante, Luca Turco, and Giorgia Gianetiempo; the famous TikToker and debut actress Nicky Passerella; Career Achievement Award winner Enrico Lo Verso; Fabio Balsamo, the widely popular member of the comedy group The Jackal; Aurora Venosa, who is sharing her experience working alongside Luisa Ranieri with young attendees; comedian Peppe Iodice; the celebrated actor Eduardo Scarpetta; and director-actor Fortunato Cerlino, who is presenting his work Avemmaria. Additionally, Marco D’Amore makes a welcome return to the festival, alongside actresses Mariasole Pollio and Giovanna Sannino, who are joined this time by Anna Gaia Sole.
However, the highest anticipation is undoubtedly for one of the most beloved faces of television drama: Can Yaman. The Turkish actor will arrive in Vico Equense on July 10th. Young fans will meet him at the city’s famous Cinema Aequa, after which he will share his story with the audience in the arena of the Cloister of SS Trinità e Paradiso, where he will also collect his award.
The artist, who has kept audiences glued to their screens with his roles in the series Bitter Sweet, DayDreamer, and Mr. Wrong, all the way to the highly anticipated modern adaptation of Sandokan, will bring a breath of international flair to the event. He stands as a symbol of an art form that has become fluid and global, successfully reaching different countries and cultures in a simple yet impactful way. In doing so, Can Yaman has transcended being just a character, becoming a true cosmopolitan representative of modern television.
The actor, who will be honored not only for his acting skills but also for his social commitment, has already generated massive buzz with his upcoming appearance. The seamless organization of both the city and the event is largely credited to the partnership between director and organizer Giuseppe Alessio Nuzzo, the City of Vico Equense and its mayor Giuseppe Aiello, the Campania Region, the Film Commission Regione Campania, and the many sponsors and partners who have long supported the initiative.

Cinema, red carpet e giovani. Sono queste le parole chiave del Social World Film Festival, che dal 5 al 12 luglio anima la città di Vico Equense.
Il cinema sociale lungo la Penisola Sorrentina prende vita attraverso le opere di artisti nazionali e internazionali. Grazie alle masterclass organizzate durante il festival, giovani aspiranti attori e appassionati della settima arte hanno l’opportunità di incontrare e confrontarsi con le grandi stelle ospiti della manifestazione.
Grazie a Giuseppe Alessio Nuzzo, direttore e fondatore del Social World Film Festival, questa 16ª edizione accoglie alcuni dei volti più noti della televisione, del cinema e dello spettacolo. Ospiti che riescono a parlare direttamente alla Generazione Z o che hanno saputo conquistare anche il pubblico più giovane.
Tra gli ospiti spicca innanzitutto la madrina del festival, Mariana Rodriguez, che ha inaugurato questa nuova edizione. L’attesa più grande, però, è senza dubbio per uno dei volti più amati della fiction internazionale: Can Yaman. L’attore turco arriverà a Vico Equense il 10 luglio. I suoi giovani fan potranno incontrarlo presso il Cinema Aequa, prima dell’incontro con il pubblico nell’arena del Chiostro della SS. Trinità e Paradiso, dove riceverà anche il riconoscimento del festival.
L’artista, che ha conquistato milioni di spettatori con serie di successo come Bitter Sweet, DayDreamer e Mr. Wrong, fino all’attesissima nuova versione di Sandokan, porterà un respiro internazionale alla manifestazione. Can Yaman rappresenta un modo di fare spettacolo sempre più globale e capace di superare confini geografici e culturali, diventando un simbolo della televisione contemporanea e un autentico ambasciatore di un linguaggio artistico universale.
